20th August 2020 Windsurfing: Rhosneigr Wind Direction: S Wind Stength: F7 Surf / Sea State: Big waves Air Temperature: 20 Sea Temperature: 17 Weather: Sun some cloud Max Speed: Distance Covered: High tide was a high one and wind pushing sea into bay so couldn't launch from usual place so walked 50m South and launched behind big surf which I'd have done anyway as easier way out. Out back some waves were easily above mast high and breaking at top, and big inshore too but were long and not powerful so could get out ok, but enough to surf and turn on. A few good rides. Wave faces inshore a bit choppy to start with but smoothed as tide dropped. Just wish I had energy to sail longer. New K4 scorcher fronts did as I hoped and gripped more than stubbies. Tried a jump and happy with that. Need to learn tacking. |
